What is the difference between mixing and mastering you ask? Fundamentally, mixing is the process before mastering, that includes changing and adjusting singular stems individually to create a professional stereo .wav file with lots of depth.  The stereo file is then mastered, which polishes and brings up the mix to a strong, radio ready level.
